The service list

Seven services, and none of them are for every vehicle

A daily commuter with minor swirling might need nothing more than a one-step correction and a 5-year coating. A truck running gravel roads and winter salt is a much stronger candidate for a three-step correction, a lifetime coating, and annual Woolwax. Ceramic Works evaluates each vehicle individually rather than pushing one package on everyone who calls.

Which service does your vehicle actually need?

Most people call asking for a coating when what they need is correction, or asking for a detail when what's bothering them is swirl marks. A few quick distinctions:

  • The paint looks dull or hazy in sunlight — that's oxidation and swirling. Paint correction, not a wax.
  • You want water to bead and dirt to rinse off easily — that's a ceramic coating, applied over correction.
  • The interior is the problem — that's detailing. No correction required.
  • You're worried about rust — that's Woolwax undercarriage protection. Ceramic coating does nothing for this.
  • Rock chips on the front end concern you — that's Liquid Protection Film, often paired with coating elsewhere.
  • The engine bay is caked in grease — that's dry ice cleaning, which avoids water around wiring.

Frequently asked

Choosing the right service

What services does Ceramic Works offer in Beckley, WV?

Ceramic Works LLC offers paint correction, NanoPro Ceramic coating, car detailing, truck detailing, Woolwax undercarriage washing and protection, dry ice cleaning, and Liquid Protection Film. Paint correction and ceramic coating are the shop's core work; the rest are offered as standalone services or combined with a correction and coating package.

How do I know which service my vehicle needs?

Look at what's actually bothering you. Dull, hazy paint means correction. Wanting water to bead and dirt to rinse off means coating. Interior problems mean detailing. Rust concerns mean Woolwax. If you're unsure, text a few photos in good light to 304-923-5664 and you'll get a recommendation before booking anything.

Do I have to buy a package, or can I book a single service?

Single services are available. Detailing, dry ice cleaning, Woolwax, and Liquid Protection Film can all be booked on their own. The one hard rule is that ceramic coating requires at least a one-step paint correction first, because coating over uncorrected paint seals in existing defects and voids the warranty.

What's the difference between detailing and paint correction?

Detailing cleans a vehicle — washing, interior work, glass, engine bay, and protective dressings. Paint correction physically removes a thin layer of clear coat to eliminate swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation. Detailing makes a vehicle clean; correction makes the paint itself look right under direct light.

Can multiple services be combined into one visit?

Yes, and combining is often the efficient choice. A common combination is a paint correction with a NanoPro Ceramic coating, Liquid Protection Film on high-impact areas like the hood and front bumper, and Woolwax underneath. Combining reduces the number of trips, which matters for customers driving in from Charleston or Lewisburg.

Which services should I book before winter in West Virginia?

Woolwax undercarriage protection is the seasonal priority, ideally applied in the fall before road crews begin salting. An undercarriage wash beforehand clears salt that has already accumulated. Ceramic coating also helps through winter by making road grime easier to rinse off, but it does nothing to prevent undercarriage rust.

How much do services at Ceramic Works cost?

Paint correction runs $250 for one-step, $500 for two-step, $600 for three-step, and $300 per panel for wet sanding. NanoPro Ceramic coating is $300 for 5-year, $500 for 10-year, and $700 for lifetime coverage including a full interior detail. Pricing is posted publicly rather than quoted vaguely.

Is paint correction required for every service?

No — only for ceramic coating. Detailing, dry ice cleaning, Woolwax undercarriage protection, and Liquid Protection Film can all be performed without correction. If you're booking a correction on its own with no coating to follow, a $75 wash is required first so the paint is clean before polishing begins.

Can these services be applied to a new or leased vehicle?

Yes. New vehicles often still need light correction, since transport, dealer prep, and lot storage frequently leave behind swirl marks before the first owner ever drives it. For leased vehicles, coating and Liquid Protection Film can help protect the finish against wear charges at turn-in, which some drivers find worth the upfront cost.

Which service gives the best long-term value?

For most long-term owners, a proper correction paired with a 10-year or lifetime NanoPro Ceramic coating delivers the most value per dollar, since the correction results stay locked in rather than degrading. For trucks driven year-round on treated roads, annual Woolwax often prevents more expensive damage than any paint service will. Call or text 304-923-5664 for a recommendation based on your vehicle.
